Man, 50, Sent To Prison For Engaging Neighbour’s 12-Year Old Girl In S*x

A 50-year old man, Henry Okeke, has landed in trouble in Lagos State after he allegedly lured his neighbour’s 12-year old daughter and engaged her into sex romp and was caught in the act. 
 P.M.EXPRESS reports that the suspect Henry, has been arrested and charged before the Court sitting at the Yaba Area of Lagos State.
The incident happened at Fola Agoro Road, Shomolu area of the State, where both the defendant and the girl’s parents reside.
The defendant, Henry, was alleged to have lured the girl into the act by  sending her on errand, she went to his apartment to give him feedback and he reportedly engaged her in sex.
However, the act got exposed after the girl revealed what happened to her parents and the matter was reported to the Police. He was arrested and  then charged before Court for the alleged offence.
The prosecutor, Supol Thomas Nurudeen, told the Court that the incident happened in April 2023 at No. 9, Fatai Ade Street, Fola Agoro, in the Shomolu area of Lagos and the family of the victim reported the case to the Police, seeking for justice for their 12-year old daughter.
The prosecutor, Supol Nurudeen, also informed the Court that it was not the first time as the defendant had sexually abused the child twice since April 2023 and the alleged offence is punishable under Sections 141 and 137 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State 2015.
The charge read, “That you, Henry Okeke, on April 25, 2023, around 4.30 pm 2023 at No 9, Fatai Ade Street, Fola Agoro, Somolu area of Lagos, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did abduct your neighbour’s daughter into your room at the above-mentioned address with the intent to have carnal knowledge of her and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 141 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015″.
The Court did not take his plea when he was arraigned after the prosecutor asked the Court to remand the defendant for 30 days pending legal advice from the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP).
The Presiding Magistrate, Mr. P. E. Nwaka, ordered his remand in custody at the Correctional Centre pending when the DPP’s report will be ready and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP.
The matter was adjourned till 19th June, 2023, for the DPP’s report to be made available, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
