Man, 55, Docked For Sucking Underaged Girl’s Private Part 

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the suspect started molesting the victim from 2015  when she was 11, which he continued till she is 21, by inserting his finger and later using eggs to open her private part. It continued till 2022 when he started sucking her breasts and private part for easy penetration.

The incident happened at Clinic Street, Iba New Site, Ojo area of Lagos, where they reside.

When the victim could no longer bear the trauma, she reported the alleged assault to the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence against the defendant and he was subsequently arrested and for interrogation over his alleged conduct.

After thorough interrogation, the Police found him culpable and consequently charged him before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged sexual offence, which attracts several years of imprisonment or life imprisonment.

When he was arraigned, the Court did not take his plea following a motion moved by the prosecutor, Inspector John Iberedem, asking the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for legal advice because of the seriousness of the alleged offence.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. EX. Kubeinje, ordered his remand in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending the outcome of the DPP’s advice and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP.

 The matter was adjourned till 7th August, 2024, for mention for the report of the DPP’s advice to be ready, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
