A 55-year old man, Yakubu Adamu, has been arrested and charged in Lagos State for allegedly engaging his neighbour’s two under aged boys in anal sex.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened on 15th April, 2024, at Housing Estate, Iponri area of Surulere, Lagos, where they reside.

According to the Police, the suspect, who owns a shop in the estate, allegedly lured the victims into his shop and inserted his fingers into their Anus. And when he had successfully done so, he later penetrated their anus severally.

However, the matter got exposed when the father of the victims was bathing them and noticed that their anus was open and they were having pains when he touched them. Hence, the father asked them what happened and they told him that the suspect had tempered with their anus.

The matter was reported to the Police at Bode Thomas Division. The suspect was arrested and transferred to the Gender Section of the Command for interrogation over his alleged conduct.

After interrogation, the Police found him culpable and consequently charged him before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence under the Criminal Laws of the State.

However, the Court did not take his plea when he was arraigned after the prosecutor,  Inspector John Iberedem, asked the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for legal advice.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. E. Kubenije, ordered his remand in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending the outcome of the DPP’s advice and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP.

The matter was adjourned till 22nd October, 2024, for mention for the report of DPP’s advice to be available, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
