A 58-year old man, Sesan Olabode, has landed in trouble in Lagos State for allegedly luring a 16-year old girl into his security post, engaging her in sex romp and thereafter paying her N2,000 for her service.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the victim’s parents later knew what happened and reported the matter to the Police. He was arrested and charged for defilement under the Criminal Law of the State.
The incident happened in September 2025, at Ololade Street, New Oko-Oba, Lagos.
According to the Police, the matter was transferred from New Oko-Oba Division by ASP Ganiat Yusuf ‘f,  after the victim’s mother made a report against the suspect, Sesan Olabode ‘m’ of  Olisa Street, New Oko-Oba Lagos.
The complainant alleged that sometime in September 2025, the suspect lured her daughter into his security post and had an unlawful carnal knowledge of her, and the complainant stated further that the suspect also gave the victim the sum of N2,000.00 after having sexual intercourse with her.
Thus,  the suspect was arrested and transferred to the Gender Section for interrogation and he made confessional statement to the Police. He claimed that he did not force her into the act and he as well paid her after the sex romp.
However, the Police found him culpable and charged him before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence which attracts several years of imprisonment.
The charge read:
“That you, Sesan Olabode, m, sometime in September 2025, at about 0800hours at No. 2. Ololade Street, New Oko-Oba, Lagos, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did defile one girl, ‘f 18 years old by having unlawful canal knowledge of her and thereby committed offence punishable under Section 137 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.”
However, the Court did not take his plea after the prosecutor, Supol Philip Ademigbuji, moved a motion asking the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for legal advice.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O. Kusanu, ordered his remand in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending the outcome of the DPP’s advice and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP for advice.
The matter was adjourned for mention for the report of the DPP’s advice to be available, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
