Man, 74, Sent To Prison For Engaging 7-Year Old Girl In S*x

A 74-year old man, Abiodun Saula, has landed in trouble in Lagos State for allegedly luring and engaging a 7-year old girl in sex. 
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Redemption Street, Orieyo in Igbogbo area of Ikorodu, Lagos, where they reside.
The old man allegedly lured the little girl to his apartment and engaged her in the act. And having satisfied himself, he allowed her to go but warned her not to tell anyone about it.
However, the girl revealed what happened to her parents and the matter was reported to the Police in the area. The man, Pa Saula, was then arrested and later transferred to the Gender Section of the Police Command for interrogation over his alleged conduct.
After rounds of interrogation, the Police found him culpable and subsequently charged him before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged defilement.
The prosecutor,  DSP Kehinde Ajayi, asked the Court to give a date and refer the matter to the DPP for legal advice because of the nature of the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. E. Kubenije, ordered his remand in custody at the Correctional Centre at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending the outcome of the DPP’s advice and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP.
The matter was adjourned till 30th August, 2023, for mention for the report of the DPP’s advice to be available, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
