An area Court in Ilorin, Kwara State, showed compassion on the 10-year old marriage between Usman Bello and his wife, Memunat, after the wife filed a divorce suit to end the  relationship because she was tired of her husband.
The embattled husband, Usman, expressed his frustration in Court as he cried and pleaded before the Court to prevent his wife, Memunat, from dumping him because he still loves her.
The Court then gave the couple time to resolve their differences or the request of the wife will be granted, thus the dissolution of the marriage.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that Mrs. Memunant had gone to the  Area Court in Ilorin, Kwara State and filed the divorce suit  against Usman on the ground that she was tired of the marriage and wanted to quit in order to move on with her life.
“We have been married for 10 years. I do not want to leave her. I am not leaving her, My Lord please help me beg her,” the man, Usman, told the Court in tears.
In her petition, Memunat only prayed for the dissolution of the marriage on grounds that she was tired of the relationship and was no longer in love with Usman but did not state why she was tired and no longer interested in the marriage.
The Presiding Judge, Malam AbdulQodir Ahmed, showed compassion on the union and gave the couple one week to settle their misunderstanding and continue with their marriage.
However, Malam Ahmed adjourned the case till 30th September, 2022, for the report of settlement to be made available and for judgment.
