Man Docked For Allegedly Burgling Christ Embassy Church In Lagos

Some members of a gang of armed robbers who burgled and carted away properties in Magodo, Lagos parish of Pastor Chris Oyakilome’s Christ Embassy Church have been arrested.
One of the suspects, Sunday Udoh has been charged before a Lagos court for stealing and remanded in prison custody.
The 24-year old Udoh and others, said to be at large, reportedly broke into the church, went to the offering box and when they did not find any money, allegedly carted a 42-inches Television and other valuables and escaped.
When the management came to the church the next day, they discovered that the some properties of the church were stolen.
The matter was then reported to the police who went into action.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered that Udoh was found with the television set but could not explain how he came about it.
The police also invited the church management who presented evidence that the television belongs to the church.
Udoh was charged before Ikeja Magistrates court where he pleaded not guilty to the alleged offence.
The presiding Magistrate, Mrs O.A. Layinka granted Udoh bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.
He was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail condition.
The matter was further adjourned till 2 May 2017.
