The Police intelligence team from the State Criminal Investigation Department Yaba, Lagos, has arrested a randy man, Emeka Ifeanyi, who allegedly lured four ladies to hotels and drugged their drinks to induce them to sleep before stealing their valuables after rounds of sex.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the suspect, Ifeanyi, who is now cooling his head in custody, allegedly lured the victims at different periods to hotels and induced them into deep sleep before he would steal their valuables including mobile phones or any money found on them and escape.
This was said to have been going on before the Police received report of his activities and moved into action to track him down. It paid off as the suspect,  Ifeanyi, was tracked and eventually arrested. He was then detained for interrogation over his conduct and it was discovered that he had an accomplice now at large.
The Police alleged that the suspect, Ifeanyi, had between June and 2nd August, 2022, lured the victims, Sodiq Olamide, Temitope Ajayi, Ijeoma Okoh and Adeshina Balikis, to Landmark Beach in Victoria Island, Grand Vinice Transit Apartment in Ajao Estate, Presken and Fourty Hotel and Suite in Surulere, where he committed the alleged dastardly act.
The victims were said to have lost their various iPhones and sums of money valued at over N4.7m during the period before he was arrested by the Police.
He was said to have lured them to the hotels, lodged them and offered them various brands of choice drinks, juice,  red wine and Hennessy, which he had already poisoned with drug substances, which will induce them into deep sleep.
After thorough interrogation, the Police found him culpable and subsequently charged him before the Yaba Magistrates Court for conspiracy, administering poisonous substance and stealing from the victims.
He pleaded not guilty when he was arraigned in Court.
The prosecutor, Supol Rita Momah, then asked the Court to give a date for hearing since he pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that he actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. Adeola Olatunbosun, granted him bail in the sum of N1m with two sureties, who must show evidence of means of livelihood, tax payment and prove of land ownership.
He was remanded in the correctional centre pending when he will perfect his bail conditions while the matter was adjourned till 20th September, 2022, for mention.
