A 32-year old man, Ejiofor Udeze, has been arrested and charged before the Court in Lagos for allegedly sucking a 13-year old girl’s breasts in order to lure her into sex.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Taiwo Ajala Street, New Oko-Oba area of Lagos where they reside.

He was arrested and charged before the Ogba Magistrates Court for sexual assault on the girl and subsequently remanded in Correctional Centre over the alleged offence which attracts several years of imprisonment if he is tried and found guilty.

The Police alleged that Udeze lured the girl into his apartment, grabbed her breasts, suck them for a while before dipping his finger into her private part in order to confuse her.
However, the whole plan failed after the girl resisted and raised alarm, which attracted their neighbours and the matter was reported to the Police at Oko-Oba Division. Udeze was then arrested and detained at the Station for interrogation.

During interrogation, he denied that he penetrated her but admitted only touching her sensitive parts before she raised alarm which attracted their neighbours. But the girl said that he actually put his finger into her private part, sucked her breasts and pushed his dick against her buttocks.

The Police found Udeze culpable and charged him before the Court but his plea was not taken following the request by the prosecutor, Mr. Clifford Ogu, to the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice.

Thus, the Presiding Magistrate, Mr. J.A. Adegun, ordered him remanded in custody and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send to the DPP for advice while the matter was referred to 13th September, 2020.

The defendant may likely be transferred to the High Court if the DPP recommends his trial for statutory rape because of jurisdiction to handle such matter.
