Man Faces Murder Charge As Ex-Wife Dies While Engaging In Public Brawl

A 37-year old man, Muftau Adefalu, has landed in trouble in Ogun State for allegedly engaging his ex-wife, Yetunde Olayiwole, in a public fight as the woman collapsed and died in the process.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the man, Adefalu, has been arrested and detained for murder which attracts several years of imprisonment.
The incident happened over over the weekend on Friday at Sango-Otta area of the State where the estranged couple met.
This was disclosed by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Omolola, who confirmed that the suspect is in Police custody undergoing interrogation over the alleged death of the deceased.
According to the Police, the suspect and the deceased separated when their marriage did not work and were living separately until they met recently and had a misunderstanding, which resulted into a fight.
The Police image maker stated that during the fight, the deceased slumped, became unconscious and was rushed to an undisclosed hospital where the Doctor on duty confirmed her dead.
The corpse was deposited at the mortuary for autopsy reports while the matter was reported to the Police, who moved into action and arrested the suspect over the death.
