Man In Police Net For Allegedly Stealing Neighbour’s Dog

A man, Balarabe Saminu, has been arrested for allegedly entering into his neighbour’s apartment and stealing his dog.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Adakawa area of Dala LGA, Kano State, where they reside.
He has been charged before the Kano Magistrates Court on two-count charge for the alleged burglary and stealing.
The Police alleged that the suspect, Saminu, entered his neighbour’s house, Basiru Kabiru Adakawa, and stole his dog valued at N57,000 before he was caught.
During interrogation by the Police, he was found culpable for entering into the complainant’s apartment without permission and stealing his dog in the process.
Consequently, he was charged before the Court for the alleged offence and the Prosecution Counsel to the State Government, Barr A. S. Dandago, read the charges against him.
He pleaded not guilty.
The Prosecution Counsel then asked the Court to give a date for hearing since he pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that he actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Haulatu Magaji, granted him bail and then ordered the remand of the accused in a correctional facility pending when he will perfect his bail conditions while the matter was adjourned till 4th April, 2023, for mention.
