Man Lands In Police Net Over S*x With Neighbour’s Girl,10

A man, Uchenna Edom, has landed in trouble in Lagos State for allegedly having sex with his neighbour’s 10-year old girl, was caught in the act and then handed over to the Police.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Okota Road, Isolo area of Lagos State, where they reside.
The Police alleged that the suspect lured the girl to his apartment, used words of mouth to confuse her before engaging her in the romp.
However, he was caught in the act as it got exposed. The girl then revealed everything that happened to her parents.
The matter was reported to the Police in the area and he was arrested. He was later transferred to the Gender Section of the Command for further investigation over his conduct.
During interrogation, he reportedly admitted to have done so but with her consent. His confession at that point did not save him.
The Police found him culpable and subsequently charged him before the Ogba Magistrates Court for the alleged offence.
The Court did not take his plea when he was arraigned following a motion moved by the prosecutor, DSP Kehinde Ajayi, asking the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. E. Kubenije, ordered his remand in the Correctional Centre pending when the DPP’s report will be ready while she directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP.
The matter was adjourned till 26th October, 2022, for the report of the DPP to be available, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
