Residents wondered what would have been the motive for a young man, Tolani Yusuf to have jumped from a three storey building.

The incident happened at Agarawu Street in Lagos Island where Yusuf resided.

P.M.EXPRESS scooped from some people that he might have attempted suicide while others said he might have committed a criminal offence and wanted to escape to evade arrest.

Yusuf was apprehended and rushed to a hospital but it was discovered he did not sustain injury after the incident. He was then handed over to the police in the area who in turn handed him over to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS for further investigation.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that during investigation, the SARS operatives did not find him culpable of any serious criminal conduct and it was not a case of attempted suicide. It was learnt that Yusuf did not disclose why he embarked on such adventure which has landed him in trouble.

However, the police found him culpable for conduct likely to cause breach of public peace by jumping from the building, though unhurt.

He was brought and charged before Ikeja Magistrates court for the alleged offence.

He pleaded not guilty.

The presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O.A. Okokhia granted Yusuf bail in the sum of N50,000 with one surety in like sum.
He was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail condition.
The matter was adjourned till 8 January, 2018.
