A 44-year old man, Owolabi  Onakoya has been arrested and charged before a Lagos court for allegedly chasing his wife, Esther Onakoya with cutlass in an attempt to kill her over her property in Lagos.
The incident happened at 40, Ola Jesu Street in Agodo Egbe, a suburb of Lagos where the couple reside.

At the station, he told the police that since they were married and had three children, he only asked her to do what he requested for the benefit of the entire family and she then started insulting him.

He pleaded not guilty .
The presiding Magistrate, Mrs J.O.E Adeyemi granted him bail in the sum of N50,000 with two sureties in like sum.
