Man & Wife In Trouble For Defilement & Inducing Abortion On Maid, 17

A couple, Clement Frank, 42 and his wife, Mary Frank, 38, has been arrested and charged in Lagos State after the husband allegedly defiled and Impregnated their 17-year old house maid and the wife facilitated a failed abortion to terminate the pregnancy. 
P.M.EXPRESS reports that there was complication during the abortion and the victim revealed what happened. The couple, Frank and Mary, got arrested and charged for conspiracy, defilement and inducement of abortion.
The incident happened at Kareem Street, Ejigbo area of Lagos, where they reside.
According to the Police, the husband,  Frank, lured the victim, engaged her in unprotected sex and impregnated her. When the wife discovered what happened, in order to cover the shame,  they took her to St James Hospital, Ejigbo, Lagos and administered abortion drugs to abort the pregnancy.
However, the matter leaked when the victim had complications due to the abortion and she revealed what happened. The matter was then reported to the Police at Ejigbo Division.
The Police arrested the couple and transferred them to the Gender Section of the State Police Command for interrogation over their alleged conduct.
After interrogation at the Gender Section, the Police found them culpable and charged them before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence which attracts several years of imprisonment.
The charges read:
“That you, Clement Frank ‘m’ and Clement Mary ‘f, on the 6th day of May,2025 at St James Hospital, Kareem Street, Ejigbo Lagos, in the Magisterial District, did conspire among yourselves to supply drugs to procure abortion on your maid and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 411 of the criminal law of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.”
COUNT 11:”That you, Clement Frank ‘m’, at Kareem Street, Ejigbo Lagos, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did defile the victim, 17years by having unlawful canal knowledge of her and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 137 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.”
COUNT:111:”That you, Clement Mary ‘f’, on the 6th of May, 2025, at St. Hospital, Orisumbare, Kareem Street, Ejigbo Lagos, in the Magisterial District, did conduct yourself in a manner likely to cause breach of the peace by inducing abortion and thereby committed an offence punishable under Sections 145(2) and 168(d) of Criminal Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.”
The Court did not take their plea after the prosecutor, Inspector Lucky Ihiehie asked the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for legal advice because of the nature of the matter.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. M.O. Tanimola, ordered the defendants to be remanded in custody pending the outcome of the DPP’s advice.
The matter was adjourned for mention while the defendants were remanded in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town pending when they will perfect their bail conditions.
