The last may not have been heard following the crowning of Eze Prosper Chukwuemeeka Chukwuka as Ezendigbo in FESTAC town by Igbo Speaking Community led by Chief Sunday Udeh over defamatory comments against Eze Chukwuka in Lagos State.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered that not less than 15 Ndieze are on the wanted list by the Nigeria Police at Zone 2 Command Headquarters in Onikan, Lagos, over their unguided comments against Eze  Chukwuka, also known as “Ogbuagu”.
So far, Eze Sunday Ojukwu and Eze Emmanuel Chukwuakalikamadu of Amuwo Odofin and Oriade LCDA are currently in Police net over their alleged complicity in the whole saga.
Meanwhile,Eze Chris Offia of Ibeju Lekki,Eze Uche Dimgba of Ikeja and Eze Anyamele were said to be on the run while other Ndieze linked to the derogatory comments against the complainant were said to have gone into hiding to evade arrest and possible prosecution over their alleged conduct.
Others said to be in Police net included Chief  Ikechukwu Ochiagha,  Barr. Fabian Onwuhalu for their alleged complicity over their comments against Eze Chukwuka, who was crowned Ezendigbo on 12th December, 2023, in a rather controversial manner by Chief Sunday Udeh.
The arrest followed a petition by Eze Chukwuka to the Police, who moved into action and arrested the suspects to explain their different roles in attempt to blackmail the complainant,  Eze Chukwuka.
Barrister Onwuhalu and the suspects were alleged to have opened a WhatsApp group and mobilized some of the Igbo stakeholders including the suspects and were making defamatory statements alleging that Chief Sunday Udeh has desecrated the age long traditional institution of Ndieze in Lagos State by installing a known notorious fraudster as Ezendigbo in FESTAC Town on 12th December, 2023, due to his insatiable appetite for ill-gotten money.
He also alleged that  the man (Ogbuagu), who was purportedly erroneously crowned in a hidden area somewhere in Lawanson area of Surulere, very far away from FESTAC town where he resides, has duped many Igbo people in FESTAC Town and other areas in Lagos State. He is a regular guest at various Police stations and Commands, as well as the EFCC and Anti-Fraud units in Lagos State, courtesy of his dubious ways”.
“Precisely, on my clients’ instructions I wrote petitions against the man to EFCC and the AIG FCID, Alagbon, Ikoyi, Lagos State, wherein he was detained recently, while the investigation is still ongoing. In fact, at Alagbon FCID, I witnessed a barrage of about ten other victims, who trooped in to be joined in the investigation” he stated.
While the campaign was going on against Eze Prosper Chukwuka, another group of Ndieze led by Eze Uche Dimgba and Chris Offia including others and some Igbo leaders called a press conference at Surulere area of Lagos and made derogatory comments both against Chief Sunday Udeh and banned him from Igbo activities in Lagos and nullified all Ndieze recently crowned by Chief Udeh including Eze Chukwuka.
Thus, Eze Chukwuka decided to fight back and contacted the Police, who trailed and arrested the suspects while others were said to be at large, to provide evidence of his criminal records as a convict in the Court of Law.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the suspects were granted administrative bail following the intervention of the Chairman of Council of Ndieze, Lagos State, Eze Chika Nwokedi, while investigation is ongoing over the allegations by the complainant.
