The founder of Anambra Media Excellence Awards AMEA, veteran filmmaker and culture Advocate, Dr. Chuma-Odili Harris Udoka, popularly known as Ogene Ogbunike, yesterday boasted that the Federal House of Representatives candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Lady Maureen Gwacham, will win 25th February election.

Ogene Ogbunike, who is one of the critical stakeholders in APGA Oyi/Ayamelum Federal Constituency, spoke in an interview with journalists in Awka, Anambra State.

He explained that the APGA has great prospects of winning the House of  Representatives election due to the poor performance of the incumbent House member, Hon Ekene Ofumelu of People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

Ogene Ogbunike stressed that the APGA had carried out massive sensitisation and enlightenment campaigns towards convincing the electorate on why they should reject the other parties at the polls.

“You can clearly see that our people have become fed up with the current Representative Ofumelu. In Oyi LGA in particular, if you see what is going on in the last four years, you can see that the large section of the constituency keeps crying total neglect; you can see that there’s  no visible constituency development projects that we have witnessed,” he said.

He spoke on the social infrastructures, which he said had virtually collapsed, adding that with these indices both at the Oyi/Ayamelum local governments areas, the expectations of the people are not being met.

Ogene Ogbunike stressed that what the  people of Oyi/Ayamelum are saying is that they believe they made a mistake in 2019, and they want to correct the mistake.

“Without any doubt, this election is already won. I have been all round the Oyi/Ayamelum and I have no doubt that APGA has won this election. The challenge we have is to ensure that rigging is prevented and I’m very sure that ndi APGA Oyi/Ayamelum will not allow that to happen,” he said.

Ogene also warned against manipulating the elections, stressing that ndi Oyi/Ayamelum are watching the process and would resist any individual, group or institution who attempts to undermine the polls.
