More reward for excellence came the way of the Digital Transformation Leader, Globacom, over the weekend as the company bags the award of the Best Customer Service Company of the Year at the third Daar Awards held in Abuja over the weekend.

The Founder and Chairman of the company, Dr. Mike Adenuga Jr. was also adjudged the Businessman of the Year at the colourful ceremony held at the International Conference Centre, Abuja, on Saturday.

The organisers of the award, Daar Communications, operators of AIT and Raypower 100.5FM radio, said both awards were purely based on merit considering the achievements of the recipients especially in the past year.

Dr. Adenuga was praised for his tenacity, and uncanny ability to spot investment opportunities and make good use of them.

Daar Communications said Dr Adenuga’s investment in the telecom sector, Globacom, is a soar-away success and has brought good fortunes to millions of people on the continent. His investment in the oil and gas sector, Conoil Producing, holds the record of being the first indigenous venture to strike crude oil in shallow waters, the organisers said.

The organisers lauded Globacom for rolling out an unending stream of attractive and user-friendly packages for the benefits of its customers, either on the pre-paid or post paid platform.

Daar Communications further praised Globacom for being the first to launch the 4G LTE network nationwide,  “…offering instant efficient broadband internet to millions of Nigerians at speeds that are several times faster …” than the existing network at the time.

The awards were received on behalf of the awardees by Globacom’s Regional Manager, North Central, Mr. Kemi Kaka, who described the awards as a call to greater service.

Kaka thanked Daar Communications for the awards, while promising that the recipients would not rest on their oars.
