Despite the brutal demolition of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon 4-0 by the Super Eagles on the match day 3 of the Russia 2018 World Cup qualifiers played at the Godswill Akpabio stadium , Uyo on Friday, Mikel John Obi, the captain of the team has said that there is nothing yet to celebrate until they finish the job in Yaounde.

Mikel, who scored the second goal for Nigeria in the thrilling encounter said that they are happy with the victory over the Cameroonians but there are more games to play in the group, adding that the players have resolved to defeat the indomitable Lions at their own den tomorrow to ensure a smooth sailing to Russia 2018 World Cup.

” We are happy with our win over Cameroon, but right there at the pitch after the game , we told ourselves that there is nothing yet to jubilate about  until we finish the job in Yaoundé. We are capable of beating them again before their fans.”Mikel Obi said.

He added that : ” We want Nigerians to know that we are very serious about qualifying the team for the World Cup”.

He further revealed that he was really happy to score again for Nigeria as he reckoned that the second goal he scored against Cameroon was as a result of a thorough tactical approach to corner kicks which was practised in training before the game and the technical crew were extremely happy when the ball went into the net.

” It gives you a good feeling when you score for your country and the goal I scored was practised several times in our training and we are very glad when it worked our perfectly well with a goal in the game. The technical crew and all the players all celebrated the goal because it was practised in training.” he said.

The Super Eagles will file out to the pitch against the Indomitable Lions at the Ahamdu Ahidjo stadium, Yaoundé, Cameroon by 6pm Nigerian time tomorrow.
