Misleading Information Regarding The New Bayelsa Gas Turbine

I have read and also seen some videos online where some persons tried to call out the State Governor regarding the New Gas Turbine. In the said write-up and videos, they claimed that His Excellency promised that the Turbine will commence operation on the first week of December, 2025.
It is pertinent to state that His Excellency, Gov. Douye Diri, the Executive Governor of Bayelsa State never mentioned 1st week of December, 2025 in any of his broadcast or speeches regarding the Gas Turbine.
Rather, the Governor assured that the light will be completed on or before the end of the year. The above was based on the assurances he got from the engineers who are doing the installation.
Gas Turbine is very sensitive and capital intensive. Many state governments have attempted to execute smiliar independent power projects, even before the constitutional amendments that designate power generation and distribution on Concurrent List, but they did not see the light of the day.
For the records, the ASSURED Prosperity Administration commenced the New Gas Turbine project this year 2025 with the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) in January/February. This was followed by site clearing and other activities.
Today, hitherto doubting Thomases who never saw anything good about the government have become disciples of the ASSURED Prosperity Administration because of the good works that our God-sent governor is doing.
Prosperous and right thinking Bayelsans are already praying, preparing and waiting anxiously for the commencement of the turbine to ensure uninterrupted electricity which they are optimistic will come up in a matter of weeks.
There is the common saying that “hunger that has seen pot of food on fire does not kill”.
Bayelsans who troupe to the Gas Turbine site at Elebele town, opposite main gate of 16 Brigade of the Nigerian Army (NA) are commending, appreciating and celebrating the courage and giant strides of His Excellency and his very outstanding Team.
Bayelsa State is safe and it is on the speed lane of unprecedented prosperity, growth and development under Gov. Douye Diri. The influx of multitudes into the state on daily basis is an evidence of the good works of the governor.
Let us join in the building of the new Bayelsa State instead of engaging in unending destructive criticisms.
