A 16-year old girl, Miss Nmesoma Maduka, who was declared missing by the Police in Lagos State two years ago has been found after the death of his father. She is now 18, well and healthy according to her mother, Mrs. Rejoice Maduka.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that Miss Nmesoma reportedly got missing from where she was a house help to a medical doctor, Dr. Geoffrey Orajekwu at Kirikiri town, Lagos.
The matter was reported at Kirikiri town Police Station, who started manhunt for the girl to no avail. Then, both Dr Geoffrey Orajekwu and her parents were looking for the girl to the extent that many allegations were levelled against Dr. Geoffrey Orajekwu over the missing Nmesoma.
Before the girl disappeared, she craftily went to her school and removed all her photographs including the ones in her master’s home and there was no picture to use to trace her.
However, last week Tuesday, Nmesoma was sighted in Agulu in her parents home in Anambra State and was handed over to the Police to explain why he absconded without any trace.
According to her mother, Mrs. Rejoice Maduka, they saw Nmesoma and they were surprised because they have almost lost hope of seeing her, which complicated the health condition of her husband, who died recently.
When she was asked what happened and why she did not tell anybody about her movement including her parents, which had caused serious misunderstanding between them and her former master, Dr Orajekwu, Mrs. Rejoice explained Nmesoma said that she left after she asked her madam that she wanted to leave but she refused. She then left the house, was going from one Church to the other, and sold pure water to survive in Lagos.
On why she did not contact her parents, Nmesoma said she was unable to reach her parents because their known phone numbers were not going through and she had no money to go home for those years.
Dr. Geoffrey Orajekwu confirmed that Nmesoma has been found and was handed to the Police at Neni Division including her mother, Mrs. Rejoice Maduka. He said he was defamed, abused and called all sorts of names even to the extent that her parents were demanding certain amount of money from him as ransom giving the suspicion that they knew her whereabout.
He said that God has vindicated him and he will likely take legal action for the false allegations against him after Nmesoma got missing.
