Nasiru Haladu Danu Foundation Launches Scholarship For Over 100 Students Across Jigawa 5 Emirates

In a significant boost to educational development in Jigawa State, the Nasiru Haladu Danu (NHD) Foundation today officially launched its scholarship program for over Hundred (100) indigent students drawn from the five Emirates of the state.

The colourful inauguration ceremony took place at the prestigious Nuhu Muhammad Sanusi Auditorium, Federal University Dutse (FUD).

The event was graced by the academic leadership of the university, led by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ahmad Muhammad Gumel, and the University Registrar, Alh. Abubakar Mijinyawa, who served as key witnesses to the landmark occasion.

The Founder and Chairman of the NHD Foundation, Alh. Nasiru Haladu Danu, OFR, was the central figure at the event.

In his keynote address, Alh. Danu reiterated his unwavering commitment to human capital development.

He promised that the scholarship scheme would be a continuous program, revealing ambitious plans to extend the initiative downward to catch them young.

“Education is the bedrock of any prosperous society. Today we support these Hundred students, but tomorrow, we intend to cast our nets wider,” Alh. Danu stated. “We are already making plans to support the primary school education system by providing scholarship awards to brilliant pupils, thereby uplifting their educational journey seamlessly up to the secondary level.”

The event also witnessed the presence of the traditional institution, underscoring the community’s support for the initiative.

His Highness, the Emir of Dutse, Alh. (Dr.) Muhammad Hamim Nuhu Sanusi, CFR, was heavily represented by a high-powered delegation from the palace led by the Chiroman Dutse, Alh. Bashir Nuhu Sanusi, CNA.

Other distinguished dignitaries and titleholders who graced the occasion included:

· Alh. Bashir M. Dalhatu (Wazirin Dutse and Chairman BOT, Arewa Consultative Forum)
· Alh. Mustapha Aminu, mni (Wamban Dutse)
· Alh. Adamu Aliyu Kiyawa (Dan Masani Dutse)
· Alh. Wada Alhaji (Sarkin Fadar Dutse & Chief of Staff to the Emir’s Palace)
· Alh. Aliyu Ibrahim (Talban Dutse)
· Alh. Aminu Sani Musa (Yariman Dutse)

The Jigawa State Coordinator of the NHD Foundation, Dr. Nasiru Sani Musa, was also present to coordinate the logistics of the program, which is expected to cover tuition and educational materials for the benefiting students.

The initiative has been widely praised by community leaders and academics as a timely intervention that will ease the financial burden on families and encourage academic excellence across the region.
