NBB of C Poll: Ladipo, Aboderin Return To Take Nigerian Pro Boxing To Next Level

Rafiu Ladipo and Remi Aboderin were returned unopposed as President and Secretary General of Nigeria Boxing Board of Control (NBB of C) respectively in an election held on Sunday in Lagos, southwest Nigeria.
The election was held during a well attended meeting of the body at No 12 Ayinde Giwa Street in Surulere, Lagos
Also returned were Vice President (Southwest), Prince Ade Olofin, while Dr. Ilukwe is the Vice President (southeast), Vice President South South is Chief Egareva.
Other officers of the NBB of C elected are Assistant Secretary General Ladipo Babalola, Treasurer is Kayode Gomez, while Financial Secretary is Lateef Muiz.
Titilope Ogunkunle is the Welfare Officer. Veteran broadcaster,Effiong Nyom was returned as the Public Relations Officer.
P.M. EXXPRESS reports that both the president and the scribe of the Nigerian pro boxing body bringing on board their long years experience and exposure in sports to take the sport to the next level.
Aboderin, president of West African Boxing Union and a longstanding promoter, spoke early on Monday on the result of the election, he said: “I want to use this opportunity to commend each and everyone of us for a successful election devoured of bitterness and rancour at the meeting yesterday, I thank all members for respecting the constitution of the Board by making sure the four years tenure of leadership is adhered to, and for returning of all incumbent officers back to man their respective positions.
“By His grace, this new mandate to continue to direct the activities of the Nigerian Boxing Board of Control will usher in more progress to our sport. My sincere thanks once more. Long live the Nigerian Boxing Board of Control.”
