Ndigbo Media Forum Worldwide has blasted Chief Joe Igbokwe over his alleged guided comments on the health status of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that Chief Igbokwe was alleged to have said on social media that Mazi Kanu’s claims that he is sick and needs medical attention is a” lie from the pit of hell”.
In a statement released to the press,  Ndigbo Media Forum described the comment as shocking and disappointing coming from Chief Igbokwe who is not a medical Doctor to make such comments.
The statement read:
“Ndigbo Media Forum expresses profound disappointment and concern over the lie from the pit of hell” to be unsubstantial and lacking empathy. Recent statement made by Joe Igbokwe regarding Nnamdi Kanu’s health. We found this assertion that claims about Kanu’s health are “a lie from the pit of hell” to be unsubstantial and lacking empathy.”
“Medically, lgbokwe should be aware that prolonged detention, stress, and lack of adequate medical care can have severe consequences on an individual’s health. Kanu’s detention and surrounding circumstances have been widely reported, and it’s alarming that Igbokwe would choose to dismiss concerns about Kanu’s well – being without providing credible evidence.”
“We note the apparent double standard igbokwe’s statements. While individuals who have committed heinous acts, including attacks on the military installations and local governments, have been celebrated by some, Igbokwe seems to be quick to condemn Kanu. This selective outrage raises questions about consistency and fairness.”
“The Ndigbo Media Forum urges Igbokwe to exercise restraint and consider the human impact of his words. We also call on the government to prioritize justice tempered with mercy in Kanu’s case, ensuring that his human rights are respected and protected.”
“Furthermore, we advise Igbokwe to be more measured in his public statements, avoiding inflammatory languages that could exacerbate tensions. He must learn how to promote understanding and respect.”
