New World Class Luxury Hotel, The Delborough Opens in Lagos

The hotel, a blend of excellent craft and the best combination of human and material resources in the known world is an elaborate manifestation of human excellence.

The building construction executed by Kasso Engineering, a Turkish construction firm that for over 45 years has consistently delivered world-class construction works like the Istanbul airport, Doha Metro in Qatar among others, was the construction company that saw to the creation of the exquisite Delborough Hotel in Lagos. This is the major project undertaken by the firm in Nigeria, and one of the few projects it has done across Africa.

The Delborough, a five-storey, five-star hotel, with just thirty-three rooms, located in the exclusive area of Victoria Island of Lagos, is owned by the Chief Executive Officer – CEO of Stanel Group, Mr. Stanley Uzochukwu.

On the Board of Directors of The Delborough are some of the most successful professionals in various works of life, including His Royal Highness, Igwe Nnaemeka Achebe, and the Obi of Onitsha, who is the Board Chairman. Chief Mike Ozekhome, SAN, who is a member of the Board. Usman Alkali Baba, former Inspector General of Police as Board member. Yemisi Suswan, former First Lady of Benue State, as a Board member. Mr. Valentine Ozigbo, former President of Transcorp, a Board member, among other eminent Nigerians.

As of now, The Delborough, Victoria Island Lagos, is the most luxurious grand hotel in Africa, built to lavishing taste, and positioned to compete with the best hotels in major cities of the world.

Speaking during the hotel’s official opening ceremony attended by two former presidents of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, and Dr. Goodluck Jonathan; Stanley Uzochukwu expressed interest in expanding the brand, while also committing to bringing nothing short of excellence in the hospitality and leisure business across Africa and beyond.
