Neymar Celebrates Barca’s Win With Formula One Superstar, Hamilton
Neymar wasted absolutely no time in celebrating Barcelona’s remarkable victory over Paris Saint-Germain by linking up with Formula One superstar Lewis Hamilton straight after the final whistle.
Sports mail reports that the Brazilian forward produced a stunning second-half performance to help Barcelona snatch a historic victory in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
Trailing 4-0 from the first-leg in France, Barcelona looked to be heading for a disappointing early exit from the competition.
Luis Suarez’s early strike, coupled with Usman Khawaja’s own goal and a Lionel Messi penalty, almost gave the Catalan club parity at the Nou Camp before Edinson Cavani’s well-placed finish looked to have killed the tie off.
However, three goals in final minutes turned the game on its head and handed Barcelona a stunning 6-5 aggregate victory.
Neymar sparked the comeback with a magnificent free-kick before he doubled his own personal tally for the night from the spot after Luis Suarez won a cheap penalty in the final minute of regulation time.
Paris Saint-Germain appeared to be holding on for victory but in the very last minute of additional time, Neymar set up Sergi Roberto for the winner with an inch-perfect chipped through ball.
Neymar celebrated the victory with his team-mates on the pitch and in the dressing room afterwards but was quick to get changed and meet up with Lewis Hamilton, who was presumably watching on from the stands at the Nou Camp.
The former Formula One World Champion is currently in Barcelona to test his new Mercedes car ahead of the season opener in Australia on March 26.
Neymar took to Instagram in the hours following Barcelona’s historic win to post a picture of himself alongside Hamilton with the caption: ‘My broo’.
The pair are known to be friends and the Brazilian superstar flew out to London to meet up with the British driver earlier this year.
