NFF/AITEO Fed Cup Final: Rangers Battle Ready To Beat Pillars – Owumi

Chairman of Rangers Football Club, Davidson Owumi says his team are ready to confront Kano Pillars in Wednesday’s NFF/AITEO Federation Cup final scheduled for Asaba, Delta State.
Owumi in a chat with PM EXPRESS on telephone disclosed that Rangers are in good frame of mind to take the battle to their opponents, saying that the team’s target is to win this year’s Federation Cup for the people of Enugu and the entire South East.
“We are ready for the Federation Cup final. The players are in high spirits and everybody is looking forward to the great final. All I can say is that, we are ready for the final,” said Owumi who is optimist that his club would come out victorious.
Meanwhile The Governor of Enugu, Ifeany Ugwuanyi has called on football fans in Enugu and the entire South East to cheer Enugu Rangers to victory when they confront Kano Pillars at Late Stephen Keshi Stadium in tomorrow‘s game.
The governor noted that Enugu Rangers are not just an iconic football club, but also a national brand and one of the oldest clubs in Nigeria that have remained in the competition and have equally continued to receive the admiration of their staunch supporters across the country, stressing that “Rangers FC belongs to all of us”.
Ugwuanyi pointed out that it was because of God’s grace and the people’s unceasing prayers, goodwill and support that Enugu Rangers FC, under his administration, won the 2015/2016 Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL, trophy after 32 years, stating that the club’s victory in the final of NFF/AITEO Federation Cup will be another milestone achievement.
