Nickelodeon’s Fun Family-Centric Entertainment, Nickfest, Debuts In Nigeria

Posted on October 4, 2017

Nickelodeon is set to bring the sold out entertainment phenomenon NickFest to Nigerian children and families.

This first fun-filled experience, put together by Viacom International Media Networks Africa (VIMNA) in partnership with Maltina, will be held at the Balmoral Convention Centre, at the Federal Palace Hotel in Victoria Island on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 November 2017.

The weekend will feature live music from Nigerian A-listers, Nickelodeon show characters, Shimmer and Shine, SpongeBob Square Pants, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Paw Patrol.

A major highlight of NickFest is The Celebrity Slime Challenge where popular personalities get slimed green in an effort to raise awareness and funds for The North East Children’s Trust project.

Children and parents will have the opportunity to join in the slime dunk at the Slime Zone.

Alex Okosi, Executive Vice President and Managing Director VIMN Africa: said, “Launching NickFest in Nigeria is a major milestone for us at VIMN Africa. It provides an amazing opportunity to bring children and families together for a fun filled day featuring our famous TV characters, great music, awesome activities and lots of sticky slime.  Nickelodeon is the definitive family friendly brand and we are proud to bring Nickfest to Nigeria for the first time.”

The two day NickFest will welcome more than 2,000 children and families to The Federal Palace Hotel, transforming the venue into a bright orange Nickelodeon wonderland. The two shows will be held on both days at 11:00 am and 3:00 pm.

NickFest provides excitement and interactivity for children and teenagers designated activities for pre-schoolers, primary school goers, tweens, teens and everyone in between.
