Shagaya, Omotosho, Adefuluire, Other Prominent Women Light Up Siju Iluyomade’s 17th Arise Conference

The mood was extremely lively last Sunday November 2 at the prestigious Ballroom of Oriental Hotel.

It was an electrifying atmosphere all through the period of 17th Arise Women Conference in Lagos, as participants were energized by the scintillating mode of speeches delivered by many speakers at the event as well as colorful environment.

The Convener, Dr Siju Iluyomade whose idea of the nonprofit organization, Arise Women Foundation has indeed received global commendation for continuously hosting the educative and empowerment programme for almost 20 years, was again at her best bringing together women of valour to share experiences, ideas with participants and also empower women.

Dignitaries from every sector –Politics, Business, Education and so on– led by the Convener and his gargling lively Husband Senior Pastor at The Family Fellowship, Pastor Idowu Iluyomade held the audience spellbound with their passion to continue contributing to the society positively.

In her welcome address under the theme of this year’s edition G.R.I.T . The Convener, Dr. Siju stressed the importance of confidence in women in every strata of life vis-a-vis contributions to the socio-economic development of the nation adding that the conference was organized to ginger Women more in their approach.

To exhude courage. consciousness and exemplify professionalism and confidence at any position they find themselves.

Speakers at the event includes National Director/ CEO Sickle Cell Foundation of Nigeria, Dr Anette Akinsete, Veteran TV Broadcaster & Former DG, NTDC, Mrs Omotayo Omotosho among other prominent Women in the society.

Apart from corroborating the submission of Dr. Siju on why Women must strive to equipped themselves with necessary knowledge on prevalent of the society that are positive to nation building, they all showered encomium on the organizer for being consistent in the past 17 years, using occasion like this to empower not only women but less privileged in the nation.

Also gracing the epoch-making event were dignitaries such as Wife of Kwara State Deputy Governor, Mrs Tokunbo Alabii, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals (SSAP-SDGs), Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire; Founder/CEO, Bolmus Group International, Mrs Bola Shagaya, and Mother of former Governor of Lagos State Mrs Omolara Fashola just to mention few.

As usual, no fewer than 5000 less privileged individuals in the society, mostly women attended and were given Arise Pink Bucket food basket.

The package includes rice, beans, groundnut oil, tomato paste among other food items.

Arise Women’ has, in the last 16 years, catered to thousands of less privileged and households across the country, building and equipping hospitals and schools in villages, including the construction of boreholes, mobile clinics, computer centres, and hosting women empowerment sessions, and many more.
