NLO Pre-Season 2021: Jo Sporting Club Forces Buruj FC To 1 – 1 Draw

Posted on February 27, 2021

The skill test, which took place inside the Araromi Youth Development Centre, was used by the technical department of the Buruj Football Club to re-ascertain the readiness of the players ahead of the Nationwide League One which commences March 7.

Both teams had a fantastic start up, Buruj FC players spread their wings and were ready to show class at the beginning but lacked basic finishing touches at the sight of every opportunity.

10 minutes into game, it was a bright time for Buruj FC’s Defensive Midfielder, Shotayo Adedayo, who beautifully made use of his scoring chances with a fabulous crossing from the 18yard box.

During the match, Buruj FC management gave chances to some raw talents to showcase their skills but unfortunately they did not meet up with the team’s target and highlighted specifications.

Buruj FC lost a lot of scoring chances due to lack of positioning and proper understanding of the game. This gave Jo Sporting Club the opportunity to equalize 5mins after conceding goal from Buruj FC via a free kick from 25meters from the goal post.

At full time the match ended 1 – 1 draw.
