The Nigerian Official Selection Committee, NOSC, has officially opened the Call for Submissions for Nigeria’s entry to the 99th Academy Awards in the International Feature Film Award category.

The committee is inviting Nigerian filmmakers, producers, and rights holders with eligible feature films to submit their works for consideration as Nigeria’s official submission to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

NOSC described the call as an opportunity to showcase the creativity, diversity, and excellence of Nigerian storytelling on one of the world’s biggest cinematic stages.

The Submission opens on Saturday August 1 with August 31 deadline date. The submission guidelines and entry form can be accessed via http://www.thenosc.org

The committee advised all interested entrants to review both the Academy’s eligibility requirements and the NOSC submission guidelines before submitting their films to ensure compliance.

“We look forward to celebrating the best of Nigerian cinema and wish all entrants the very best,” NOSC stated.

“Filmmakers, producers, and stakeholders in the Nigerian film industry are encouraged to take part in the selection process as the country prepares its entry for the 99th Oscars.”
