Notorious Cultist Arrested In Ogun State

A 19-year old notorious cultist, Daniel Bartholomew alleged to be terrorising Agbara and its environs for quite some time now has been arrested by the men of the Ogun State Police Command.

The suspect is said to have been on the wanted list of the command for the role he played in series of cult clashes in places such as Agbara, Lusada and Igbesa.

According to the report, he was arrested opposite Crawford University by a team of policemen led by ASP Ajoba Lamidi when they were carrying out stop and search duty in the area.

As the police officers were performing their duty, the suspect who was on a motorcycle did not notice the officers at the other side of the road on time, and immediately he sighted them, he quickly made a U-turn.

The policemen on seeing his action, gave him a hot chase and he was apprehended. They recovered one locally made pistol and one expended cartridge from him.

He made confessional statements to the fact that he was a leading member of the dreaded EIYE confraternity.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu has ordered that the suspect be transferred to FSARS for discreet investigation.
