Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has vigorously campaigned in two local government areas—Ekwusigo and Nnewi South—calling on residents to prepare for the All Progressives Grand Alliance in the upcoming gubernatorial election on November 8.

During a rally at Ekwusigo local government headquarters in Ozubulu, Governor Soludo urged citizens to ensure they have their Permanent Voter’s Cards (PVCs) ready to uphold their democratic rights. He emphasized the critical role of active participation in the electoral process, stating that “voting with your PVCs is essential for shaping the future of our state.”
The Governor assured the people of Ekwusigo that his administration will continue to focus on key developmental areas including security, infrastructure, human capital development, and healthcare over the next four years. He expressed gratitude for the support he has received, with notable community leaders like Sir Jude Mbaegbu and Chief Ebuka Onunkwo reinforcing their commitment by promising to ensure that every vote counts. As a testament to their faith in his leadership, residents donated a remarkable one hundred and fifty-one million naira to the Governor’s campaign efforts.
Continuing his campaign in Nnewi South, Governor Soludo reaffirmed the significance of the election, declaring it “sacrosanct” during a rally in Amichi organized by twenty wards in the area.
Reflecting on previous security challenges that hindered campaigns in the last Governorship election, he celebrated the impressive turnout at the rally as a sign of improved safety and stability. Governor Soludo thanked residents for their overwhelming support of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and assured them that the successes of his administration are just the beginning. Leaders who spoke, including Chief Chidi Anyaegbu and Senator Emmanuel Nwachukwu, echoed their support for the Governor’s re-election, while Engr. Igweke Uche noted that APGA has become a household name in Nnewi South.
Additionally, the community presented eighty-five million naira to further support Soludo’s campaign, solidifying the local government area’s commitment to his leadership and vision for Anambra State.
