The Oba Otudeko Foundation has launched a food outreach programme across Ogun State to support 2,000 vulnerable families, with the first phase reaching over 500 residents in Odogbolu.

The outreach, which forms part of the Foundation’s December Community Initiative, is being implemented through a zonal rollout covering all four geopolitical zones of the state.

Beneficiaries at the Odogbolu distribution, which included residents, people with disabilities, and other vulnerable members of the community received food provision packs containing staples including rice, garri and other items to support feeding a household during the festive period..

Speaking on behalf of the Foundation, Mrs. Yewande Giwa said the initiative also reflects the Founder, Dr Oba Otudeko, CFR’s values of caring for people by strengthening human capacity through food support and practical assistance.

“Dr. Oba Otudeko, CFR, has always maintained that true leadership is measured by the lives it uplifts,” she said. “This outreach embodies that philosophy. It is about meeting needs in a way that preserves dignity, strengthens communities, and affirms the humanity of every beneficiary. At the Oba Otudeko Foundation, we believe that this time of year should be about coming together and uplifting one another. It’s essential we model initiatives reinforce love, care and value for every member of the community”, said Mrs Giwa.

Ahead of the outreach, representatives of the Foundation paid a courtesy visit to the Odogbolu Traditional Council, led by the Alaye-in-Council, to seek royal blessings and reaffirm collaboration with traditional institutions.

The palace representatives commended the Foundation for engaging local leadership in the planning and execution of the programme.

The initiative will reach nearly 10,000 individuals through food support to 2,000 families across Ogun State.

The Oba Otudeko Foundation continues to advance long-term social impact through focused interventions in education and entrepreneurship, guided by empathy, structure, and deep respect for the communities it serves.
