Obidients, Who Do We Believe?

Many did not see this coming, at least not so fast. That a day would come when Mr. Peter Obi and his crowd of Spokespeople will be at crossroads over a [purported] phone conversation that is potent enough to spark off a religious war in the country.
At this point, Nigerians do not know who to believe – Peter or his spokespeople. This is exactly what you get when a political movement is devoid of clear cut and Legit strategy. The Obidient movement can be likened to a “free-for-all”, where a Peter Obi opportunistically mounted the wave on a journey to nowhere.
Again, many who know Peter, have expressed little surprise on the ongoing self imposed doldrums. Probably because it is Peter’s signature style to court religious bigotry, if he could do it intra-faith (as Anambra Governor), going inter-faith may not be far from what he can do. Secondly, telling lies and spewing false statistics is another strong point for Peter. So, denying his spokespeople and outrightly declaring the phone conversation as false, may not also be very far from what he is capable of.
It is still morning for the Obidient fellows, who are now caught in avoidable confusion and crisis of ideology. This was foretold long before the 2023 elections. It is only painful that our brothers could not smell the coffee, and have elected to continue in denial.
