They appealed to SP Chidi Okoye not to relent but continue to dish out more books to the public about the good job the Nigeria Police Force is doing in the protection of lives and properties and investigation of cases and more importantly to counter what cynics portrayed the Police to be.

SP Okoye authored and launched the first book, The Investigator —a fiction crime novel which dwells on Police tactical investigation in 2014 while he was a lead prosecutor with the Lagos State Police Command and attached to the Tinubu Magistrate Court, Lagos Island, Lagos.

In 2025, as the officer incharge of Zonal Quick Intervention Squad, ZQIS at the Zone 2 Command, Lagos, he also authored and launched two other thrilling books —The  Syndicates Affairs and Checkmate which also dwells on Police investigation tactics and the summary of the Lagos State Criminal Law of Lagos State to a layman level to enable the public know their rights since ignorant of the law is not an excuse.

The events which was held at the prestigious Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos was graced by prominent Nigerians, senior Police officers including the Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG Adegoke Fayoade incharge of Zone Command, Lagos now Deputy Inspector General of Police, DIG.

So far, after reading the books, I discovered that the Nigeria Police Force is now  blessed with talented, creative and innovative officers who want to patriotically and sincerely contribute their quota in moving the Nigeria Police Force to higher level.

“I recommend the books to anyone who  want to know the good work the Nigeria Police Force and officers are doing, and I am now appealing to other Police Officers out there to wake up and think of what they can do in areas of creativity and innovations to make  the Nigeria Police Force proud like what SP Chidi Okoye had done so far.

Another officer serving in Abuja, Nigeria stated, “I commend SP Chidi Okoye for authoring and launching the three books which would help in killing the negative mindset the public have  about the Nigeria Police Force operations, investigation and its officers and the summarising of the Lagos State Criminal Law of Lagos State to a layman level to enable the public know their rights, he stated.
