Ogbunike Nwafor 2023: TMOG Sues For Peaceful Outing As Group Throws Weight Behind The Forthcoming OPU Event

The forthcoming annual Nwafor Ogbunike Cultural Festival has received a boost as Team Make Ogbunike Great (TMOG) is set to make the culture fiesta a memory -lingering event. The great event is expected to reunite the people, and reconcile all differences for a greater Ogbunike.

Team Make Ogbunike Great (TMOG) wishes to congratulate ndi Ogbunike on the successful declaration of dates for 2023 Nwafor cultural festival at Obi Ogbunike today. It was announced that 21st July, 2023, is the offical date set aside for the commencement of the traditional, epoch making event. Many thanks to the leadership of Ogbunike Progress Union OPU, ndi Nze/Ozo, Ndichie/Ogbuefi, Ndi Ezemuo, Ndi Omenani, ndi Okorobia, and other stakeholders who trooped out enmass to witness and observe the annual ritual “ika Nwafor”.

Speaking on developments around the cultural festival, the Convener, Team Make Ogbunike Great (TMOG), Ogbuefi Dr. Chuma-Odili Harris Udokamma (Ogene Ogbunike) said, “ecently, I was approached by the leadership of OPU, with a letter stating that I have been appointed as a member of the Ogbunike Culture and Tradition Committee of the OPU. A new development, that I welcomed with open arms knowing fully well that the traditional affairs of our great town is within the confines of the constitutional dictates of Ndichie/Ogbuefi Ogbunike”.

“I’m particularly excited about the OPU thoughtful plans to make this year’s Nwafor festival a memorable experience as they are set to stage a show called “ichinata itali Nwafor” scheduled to take place at Obi Ogbunike on Sunday 23rd of July, 2023.”

“The workaholic OPU publicist cum head of the committee has sought TMOG support for the OPU maiden event, I did not hesitate to accept the proposal, and will make a meaningful contribution towards ensuring a successful event.”

“The Team Make Ogbunike Great (TMOG) have decided to support OPU by funding popular artistes for live musical band performances, renting of canopies, tables; donating crates of beer, water, and other special gifts for best performing masquerades at the “ichinata italia Nwafor” show.”
