Posted on September 17, 2026

The 2027 governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State, Senator Solomon Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, has assured members of the party’s Campaign Council and the people of Ogun State that his governorship campaign will be issue-based and focused on issues that matter to the people, rather than frivolities.

Senator Adeola stated this during the inauguration of the party’s newly constituted Campaign Council at the June 12 Cultural Centre, Abeokuta, on Thursday.

Speaking at the event, the senator said his campaign would provide relevant information that would enable the people of the state to make informed decisions during the elections.

He also called on the various committees of the campaign council to work together towards securing victory for the APC across all the elections.

“As we begin our campaign, I promise that our people will have information on issues and projects that will better lives, and not frivolous issues that will taint or damage the good image of our dear state. When they go low and under, we will continue to soar higher to deliver benefits for the people of Ogun State. I call on various committees to work as a team for victory for APC in all the elections.

“I want to assure you that the confidence reposed in me to fly the flag of our great party will not be taken for granted and that our people will continue to benefit from the good governance our party is delivering under the renowned hope agenda and the “Ise ya” mantra,” he said.

Senator Adeola Yayi also appreciated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, the Grand Patron of Ogun State APC, Olusegun Osoba, and all former governors of the state for their various reconciliation roles during the party primary that produced him as the consensus candidate of the party.

The event was also attended by the Ogun State APC Chairman, Chief Yemi Sanusi among other party leaders and supporters.
