Ohanaeze Ndigbo Declares Eze Umenwekwe Chukwukadibe As Ezendigbo Oriade LCDA

The Ezeship tussle between Eze Umenwekwe A. Chukwukadibe and Eze Chukwuakalikamadu Emmanuel in Oriade LCDA has finally ended following the judgment of the Council of Ndieze led by Eze Chika Nwokedi and the public declaration by Ohanaeze Ndigbo on Eze Chukwukadibe as Ezendigbo Oriade LCDA in Lagos State.

 

P.M.EXPRESS reports that while the Council of Ezendigbo in its judgment declared that Eze Chukwukadibe was first crowned Ezendigbo in Oriade LCDA since 2015 while Eze Chukwuakalikamadu claimed that he was crowned Eze Udo in 2021 based on the certificate presented by the Parties.

 

This was confirmed by the leader of Council of Ndieze, Eze Dr Chika Nwokedi, who explained that the Council decided and gave judgment on the matter to find a lasting peace.

 

The decision of the Council of Ndieze has given credence to earlier claims by Eze Chukwukadibe that he was the only Ezendigbo in Oriade LCDA, which the Ohanaeze Ndigbo had confirmed and gave him certificate of recognition as the only Ezendigbo in Oriade LCDA.

The position and declaration of Ohanaeze Ndigbo was made public during the end of the year, Women empowerment and presentation of award of recognition to Eze  Chukwukadibia as Ezendigbo in Oriade LCDA held on Saturday, 7th December, 2024, at St Pat’s Private School, Alakija area of Lagos State.

 

The Chairman of Ohanaeze in Oriade LCDA, Chief Edwin Egboka, explained that the award of recognition to Eze Chukwukadibe was based on truth, fairness and justice as the only recognized Ezendigbo in Oriade LCDA.

 

On the claims by Eze Chukwuakalikamadu that he was crowned Ezendigbo in Oriade LCDA, he explained that Eze Chukwuakalikamadu was never crowned Ezendigbo but Eze Udo in OriadeLCDA.

 

He explained that Ohanaeze Ndigbo Oriade LCDA recognized Chukwuakalikamadu as Eze Udo in Oriade LCDA.

 

Chief Egboka also stated that there is a subsisting judgment of the Council of Ndieze, which stated that Eze Chukwukadibe was first crowned Eze in Oriade LCDA and Ohanaeze Ndigbo has recognized him, which ended the issue of Ezendigbo in the LCDA.

 

He explained that the decision to recognize Eze Chukwukadibe was the collective decision of the executives,  stakeholders and members of Ohanaeze Ndigbo in Oriade LCDA to finally rest the issue of Ezendigbo in the LCDA.

He stated that Ohanaeze Ndigbo will officially write letters and send to the appropriate authorities including the security agencies, Local Government and critical Igbo stakeholders in Lagos State.

Speaking at the event, Eze Chukwukadibe expressed satisfaction that the issue of who is Ezendigbo in Oriade LCDA has finally been resolved with the judgment of the Council of Ndieze and the public presentation of certificate of recognition by Ohanaeze Ndigbo.

 

He promised to continue to play his leadership role as both the father and leader of Ndigbo in Oriade LCDA, which he has demonstrated by empowering the less privileged especially the widows at the event.
