Ohaneze Ndigbo Lagos State Youth leader,  Alexander Okey Eneh, has debunked the claims by a faceless group, parading themselves as young Igbos led by one Ebuka Nnadi, over comments on the amiable Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, over his love for Ndigbo and the President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State, Chief Solomon Ogbonna Aguene.
PMEXPRESS reports that the faceless group had accused the Governor of showing love and protecting Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State led by Chief Aguene against the members of the cabals, who were said to have conducted a kangaroo election in order to install one Chief Sunday Ossai as the President in Lagos State.
Eneh stated that the group in question does not exist and was not recognized by the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State led by the incumbent President, Chief Solomon Ogbonna Aguene.
He stated that the group is being sponsored by some elements among Ndigbo, who had wanted to destabilize the already made plans by Chief Aguene and Ohanaeze Ndigbo to give massive votes to the Governor and APC in 2023.
He urged the members of the public to disregard the publication being sponsored by some bad elements who are moving from one media platform to another paying money in order to blackmail the State Governor and Chief Aguene.
Also reacting on the publication against Governor, the Chief of Staff to Chief Solomon Aguene, Chief Thompson Ohia, stated that there was no group bearing such name recognized by the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State and they should be disregarded as a non-existing organization.
Chief Ohia stated that the Ohanaeze Youths in all the Local Government areas in Lagos State as led by Eneh are solidly behind Chief Aguene stressing that it was a ploy by the members of the cabals to stain the cordial relationship between the Governor and Ndigbo in Lagos State.
Ohia stated that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has always supported the Igbo in Lagos through Chief Solomon Aguene and that was why Ndigbo agreed to give him massive support for his reelection in 2023.
He reiterated that there was no executive election conducted by Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State because Chief Aguene is still in office based on the Judgment of the Lagos State High Court.
He explained that based on the judgment of the Court, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State is preparing for the election of its executives officers after harmonization of the factions as directed by the Court.
Chief Ohia stated that Ndigbo are tired of antics and confusion of the members of the cabals, who had held the Igbo in Lagos captive for several years. And with the coming of Aguene, the Igbo have been liberated and that is why there is massive fellowship and support to Chief Aguene, which the members of the cabals are afraid that it result to massive vote for the Governor.
He also sympathized with Chief Sunday Ossai, who was swindled millions of Naira by the same set of bad elements, who promised to make him a non-existent President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State, which turned out to be a hoax.
It will be recalled that issue of Ohanaeze Ndigbo election had been settled based on the Court judgment and Chief Aguene will be in office as Ohanaeze President till 2026.
