Former Ohanaeze General Secretary, Chief Everest Ozonweke (Onowu), has handed over power, but the ghosts of his political foes to destroy his image being sponsored by Chief Solomon Ogbonna Aguene has never seized due to hatred, envy and jealous over his rising profile in Ohanaeze Worldwide and Lagos State.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that one of the major questions among Ndigbo in Lagos State are, who is afraid of Chief Everest Ozonweke and why this campaign of calumny against him since the President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, recognized his intellectual capacity and appointed him as a Special Adviser.
The answers were provided by Chief Ozonweke by himself with his responses:
“Throughout my leadership tenure in Ohanaeze Lagos State, I imbibed principles and wisdom,  which had always been my guiding light, offering comfort and renewed determination to move on, despite the multitude of perspectives, campaign of calumny, character assassination, and intense criticisms I have faced from Solomon Ogbonna, the former president of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Lagos Chapter. I strive to remain composed amidst the chaos. I firmly believe that engaging in a dignified manner is the best approach, and consequently, I refrained from stooping to his level of irresponsibility. I always found my calm amidst the storm.”
Chief Ozonweke insisted it was indeed sad that Chief Solomon Aguene occupied the respected position as President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, though accidentally, has shamefully built his life on frivolities and unintelligent lies, devoid of dignity and nobility required of a leader.
He explained that Chief Aguene lacks credibility and minimum qualification for any leadership position, not even a family meeting. And sadly, he struggles with inexposure, self inflicted inferiority complex and hardly literate enough to engage well in common communication.
“Perhaps, it is crucial to state here that the accident of Solomon Ogbonna’s emergence and tenure as president of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos Chapter, has proved disastrous.”
“I am compelled to address his baseless and myopic allegations against me. And I will be addressing them with verifiable evidence beyond reasonable doubt, only for the purpose of clarity and to place the facts before the unsuspecting public which he aims at deceiving. This has always been his stock in trade.”
“It is both sad and disheartening that a quack, who has integrity issues, should, by any means, find himself superintending over our Apex Socio-Cultural Organisation in Lagos State. This privilege he has so terribly abused despite the soft landing actions of the then National leadership, when overwhelming petitions and complaints against him flooded the National Secretariat. In my subsequent article I will unfold those petitions so we can compare their content with actions of the man Solomon Ogbnonna.”
“He has employed all tactics to stay afloat, still day-dreaming in his myopic egocentric nature that he is occupying any leadership position for Ndigbo in Lagos State.”
“I will address his fallacious reasoning and excesses in a fair and transparent manner, upholding the principles of truth and sincerity, with the aim of setting the records straight to protect the public from his misleading mischief and antics.”
“During my tenure as the Secretary of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos Chapter, I was dedicated to serving our great Igbo Nation in that capacity. Adherence to due process, selflessness and excellent managerial skills was my guide. These qualities of mine positively impacted Ohanaeze Ndigbo in no small measure.”
“I make bold to state here that almost every developmental action undertaken by Ohanaeze Lagos between 2018 and 2022 was conceived by me and driven from my table. I conceived and developed ideas, presented to Solomon as my principal, being the President. He approved for execution, contributing nothing and knowing nothing to contribute. He only turned into a tiger when positive and fruitful results began to roll in.”
“My stewardship as Secretary of Ohanaeze Lagos Chapter left behind the following legacies, just to mention but a few; Leadership training for elected executive members, membership data collation, set up well structured Local Government Administration template, secured crucial bilatral relationship with  European communities in Lagos, developed and maintained a smooth synergy with Lagos State Government and Parastatals, secured Ohanaeze Lagos Chapter in government protocol list, developed and maintained cordiality with media houses, supervised constant leadership modules for the Youths and Women wing, special intervention against victimization of Nigerian in China during Covid-19 pandemic in conjunction with Distinguished Senator Enyinnia Abaribe and Boss Mustapha, Special intervention through South African High Commission in Lagos on xynophobic attack on Nigerians in South Africa.”
“Indeed, my recognition by Ohanaeze National Headquarters is a true attestation to my commitment to everything good for our great Igbo nation in Lagos State and Ohanaeze worldwide.”
“My desire to further deepen the reforms I conceived and nurtured, sparked my ambition in the last election in which I contested for the Lagos State President position, which however, did not  materialise.”
“All that is now history with no love lost.
Knowing Solomon Ogbonna’s antecedents, I expect nothing better from this devil incarnate called Solomon Ogbonna.”
“Blinded by his greed and unquenchable desire for power, he has lost the sense of good reasoning. The present reality of existential threats, insecurity, and economic downturn facing Ndigbo should be a source of worry for a noble leader instead of the endless rascalities of a misfit. Irresponsible rubble rousing has been his style to divert attention, being a pathological liar.”
“His numerous attempts to tarnish my image and reputation will continue to fail as he continues to hawk his social blindness.
My commitment to the pursuit of a better Igbo race drives my service to our great Igbo Nation. This I will continually do with sincerity and integrity.”
“It is common knowledge that lies do not live forever!
As the secretary of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos Chapter during his tenure, I have a record of all his activities, when the time and place is right, the true story of Ohanaeze Lagos 2018-2022 will be told.”
“I urge everyone to ignore the insensitive rascal. Let us all continue to work and focus on the leadership reforms and repositioning of Ohanaeze Ndigbo worldwide as being piloted by our esteemed President General Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu.”
“May nothing like Solomon Ogbonna ever happen to Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide again, God forbid!
I will be unearthing a can of worms in my next publication, please stay tuned to the “unmasking of the devil” he concluded.
