There is no gainsaying that billionaire tycoon Dr. Mohammadu Indimi has a wondrous taste. Over the years, the Borno State-born businessman has found himself with the wherewithal to buy enough luxury while supporting humanity in various aspects of life.

Understandably, the legendary Indimi is one billionaire who clawed his way from the dusty streets of Maiduguri to the opulent skyscrapers of Dubai.

From the humble beginning to becoming one of the continent’s most influential business moguls and philanthropists, Indimi never failed to realise that his journey reflects resilience, hard work, and divine grace.

Indeed, Indimi is not your typical billionaire who craves the spotlight. In fact, unlike many ultra-rich individuals who live for the cameras, Indimi is the exact opposite. He is a quiet giant who lets his successes speak through his businesses —with solid interests in the energy, real estate, financial services and construction sectors.

But his rise to billionaire glory was propelled by his foray into oil exploration. This incredible spurt in the size of his personal fortune earned him recognition as one of the Forbes-rated richest but silent Nigerians. He invests in philanthropy at the same time compensates himself with good things in life and tangible luxury.

For a fact, Indimi, the Founder and Chairman of Oriental Energy Resources —one of the leading indigenous oil and gas companies in the upstream sector— has proven that he is one wealthy man who obviously does not joke with his comfort.

His breathtaking home in Maiduguri, Borno State is an architectural masterpiece. From the grand fountain and lush greenery to the serene mini zoo, every corner of this iconic mansion reflects pure elegance. His garage is lined with some of the luxury cars money can buy.  It was a true symbol of wealth, power and elegance.

For more than 20 years, Indimi has not boarded a commercial plane and he doesn’t see himself trying such in the nearest future. The comfort associated with private jets has prevented him traveling in a public flight. As a matter of fact, Indimi has had a couple of wonderful ‘space stars’ to travel the world in the last two decades but none of those luxury birds come close to his latest acquisition: Gulfstream G700 Business Jet.

Indimi —a recipient of the national honour of the Officer of the Federal Republic, OFR— has once again raised the bar of possibility.

The 78 year-old oil magnate recently flew into the country with his brand-new Gulfstream G700. The over $80 million luxury toy is the first of its kind in Africa —notably, standard customizations to the jet, including exterior paint, interior, and fixtures cost between $5 million and $20 million. This brings the equipped price to $84 million -$99 million but a highly-customized G700 can cost as high as $120 million.

The G700, known for redefining luxury, speed, and comfort in aviation, is not just a plane. The new acquisition is an ultra-long-range flagship model, known for its spacious cabin, advanced technology, and impressive speed and range. It boasts a maximum range of 7,750 nautical miles and a maximum cruise speed of Mach 0.90. The cabin features the largest windows in business aviation, 100% fresh air, circadian lighting, and flexible layouts with up to five living areas, including a master suite with a shower. The G700 is a flying fortress of innovation.

However, this milestone by Indimi is more than just the acquisition of the most advanced private jet in the world; it is a statement of ambition, foresight, and the unshakable belief that Africa belongs at the very forefront of global innovation and success.
