Ojaja Park Sets The Record Straight On Alleged Withholding of Refund
The management of Ojaja Park Akure, headed by Dr. Edna Ubebe, has reacted to an accusation placed online by one Dr. Wunmi Akintide, alleging Dr. Ubebe is holding on to the balance of his refund over a reversed business transaction.
Setting the records straight, the management said it regards the accusation as baseless and a deliberate attempt to smear the image of Ojaja Park and that of the point person of the organization, Dr. Edna Ubebe.
The management explained that it’s strange that anyone would come out to level an allegation against Ojaja Park or Dr. Ubebe over any transaction the organization and its officials are deliberate about being transparent and upright in all they do.
The company admitted there is indeed N2.5 million remaining as a balance from a refund of N82.5 million made to Akintide but stated clearly that the said balance is meant for the documentation and other necessary processes that were carried out to perfect the sale of the property ab initio.
It added that 3% of the entire sum of any transaction is for documentation, which is a standard practice that was clear and agreed upon by Akintide from the beginning, and it’s shocking that he’s turning around to demand the same 3% after all the funds that needed to be refunded have been made available to him.
Meanwhile, the Ojaja Park management, stated that the need for a refund issue over the property purchased by Akintide became necessary because, according to Akintide, his children want him to live in America, and as such, there would not be a need for buying a property in Nigeria for the sole purpose of living there.
As a testimony to the impressive standard obtainable at Ojaja Park, the statement revealed Akintide confessed he decided to buy a property at Ojaja Park due to the availability of basic amenities like water, electricity, and most importantly, security, because he cannot afford to be kidnapped at his age.
Ojaja Park stated categorically that neither the organization nor its head, Dr. Ubebe, is holding any money meant for Akintide and therefore has no payment to make to him.
The company thereby urged Akintide to desist from peddling lies about Dr. Ubebe and Ojaja Park and vowed that he would be resisted with appropriate action should he fail to desist.
