The Forum by Ojez is set to host an evening of glamour and tribute as it celebrates one of Nigeria’s most revered cultural icons, Mr. Muyiwa Majekodunmi, the legendary proprietor of Jazzville, with a Special Recognition Award on Sunday, July 27.

The event, which will take place at Ojez Sports Lounge, inside the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, will begin at 5:00 PM, rolling out the red carpet for an evening that promises nostalgia, live music, and tributes to a man whose impact on Nigeria’s jazz and arts scene is unmatched.

Mr. Majekodunmi, known for founding Jazzville, the iconic live music venue that became the soul of Lagos nightlife in the 1990s and early 2000s, has played a pivotal role in nurturing jazz music and elevating live performances in Nigeria.

Through Jazzville, he offered a stage to legends and rising stars alike, creating a vibrant space for creative expression and musical excellence.

He now joins a growing list of distinguished personalities previously honoured by The Forum, an initiative by Ojez that recognizes individuals who have made lasting contributions to Nigeria’s arts, culture, and public life.

The celebration will feature live guest performances by veteran showman Danny Dolor and the Ojez Resident Band, among other exciting side attractions.
