Ojodu LCDA Boss Attends Lagos Circular Economy Hotspot

The Executive Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, Lagos State, Hon Segun Odunmbaku today attended the Lagos Circular Economy Hotspot tagged “Towards A Circular And Resourceful Economy” held at the Continental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Hosted by the Lagos State Government in collaboration with the African Circular Economy Network, ACEN and the Circular Economy Innovation Partnership, CEIP, it converges world-renowned experts and delegates from business, politics, science and public institutions to discuss circular business models, strategies and approaches from the respective host regions and cities.
The event also provided an avenue for exchange between international industry counterparts to drive the regional and global development of circular economy while showcasing ground breaking innovations and initiatives driven by talented Nigerian and African innovators.
The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, in his keynote address at the event which is the first in Africa, expressed the commitment of his administration towards the realignment of the linear system to a more sustainable and resilient circular economy based on sharing, reusing and recycling of existing materials.
Hon Segun Odunmbaku, while addressing newsmen said a circular economy has potential to create wealth and jobs while also contributing to regeneration of the economy, which is why Ojodu LCDA partnered with Rotary Club to train residents on recycling of reusable materials and establishing a recycling hub for economic development.
At the event were Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr Kadiri Hamzat,SSG, Mrs Bimbo Salu Hudeyin, Lagos House Of Assembly Members,Heads Of Parastatals and Diplomatic Corps.
