Ojodu LCDA Celebrates Isese Day With Rich Colourful Cultural Display
Ojodu LCDA, Lagos State, on Tuesday celebrated Isese Day in grand style, showcasing the rich cultural heritage and deep spiritual roots of its communities.
The event, marked by vibrant traditional performances, highlighted the significance of preserving the customs and traditions passed down through generations.
The streets came alive with lively processions of traditional worshippers, masquerades and cultural enthusiasts. The festive atmosphere was filled with chants, songs, and drumming, reflecting the unity and pride within Ojodu LCDA as residents and visitors alike enjoyed the captivating scenes of divinity and cultural pride, immersing themselves in a display of authentic Yoruba heritage.
The event was led by His Royal Majesty, Oba Hakeem Agbaosi (Eweobaja 1), the Alaguda of Aguda Ogba, who presided over traditional rites at his palace.
Alongside other traditional leaders and cultural adherents, Oba Agbaosi performed rituals and offered prayers for the prosperity and harmony of the land, emphasizing a strong connection to the ancestors.
Under the administration of Hon. Segun Odunmbaku, the celebration drew dignitaries such as Hon. Kogbodoku, Hon Kazeem, Hon Wale Larinde, Hon. Femi Fadeyi, Hon Dayo Olarenwaju and tourism officer, Mrs. Eka, who emphasized the importance of preserving Ojodu LCDA’s unique cultural identity that’s fostering unity and communal pride among residents.
