Ojodu LCDA Chairman Hosts Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Abimbola Mabogunje

The Executive Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, Lagos State, Hon. Segun Odunmbaku, has hosted the Permanent Secretary of Lagos Health District VI, Mrs. Abimbola Mabogunje.
The meeting was held to discuss the ongoing healthcare initiatives and the strategic direction for improving healthcare services within the LCDA.
During the meeting, Hon. Odunmbaku emphasized the Council’s commitment to enhancing healthcare access and quality for residents. This includes the ongoing Free Medical And Surgery Programme at Ogba PHC, which provides comprehensive medical services, including screenings and surgeries.
The initiative has already seen substantial beneficiaries of over 74 individuals consisting of 38 females and 36 male patients ranging from 3years to 79 years of age with cases of breast lump, fibroid, cyst, keliod, lumpectomy, lipoma, hydrocele and prostrate cancer treated free of charge.
Mrs. Mabogunje, who had earlier toured health facilities across the LCDA, praised the Council’s efforts especially in the purchase of tricycle ambulances, expansion of services and upgrade of facilities in the seven primary health centres.

She also discussed avenues of collaborations with the Council in areas regarding vaccinations and outreaches that would make healthcare more accessible to residents.
The meeting also highlighted the Council’s broader efforts to revitalize primary healthcare facilities, such as proposed Mini General Hospital at Ogba, acquisition of lands to expand Agidingbi and Gbadamosi PHCs, the ongoing reconstruction of Powerline PHC and the plan to automate processes through Electronic Medical Records while also employing more manpower for improved public healthcare services Ojodu LCDA.
