Ojodu LCDA Facilitates Drainage Maintenance Efforts

Posted on August 12, 2024

In a continued effort to enhance flood prevention and maintain clean waterways, the administration of Hon. Segun Odunmbaku in Ojodu LCDA, Lagos State, has actively facilitated the work of the Drainage Maintenance Department from the Lagos State Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources.

The ongoing maintenance operations focus on the comprehensive cleaning, de-flooding, and dredging of the MITV/Okeira/Yakoyo Primary Channel. This crucial initiative aims to remove accumulated silt and debris, ensuring that the drainage systems function optimally and effectively prevent flooding in the axis.

These efforts are part of a broader strategy by Ojodu LCDA to safeguard the community from the adverse effects of seasonal rains and to maintain the well-being and safety of residents in the axis. The Olusegun Odunmbaku administration remains committed to enhancing the environmental management and resilience of local drainage systems through continuous support and collaboration with state agencies.
