Ojodu LCDA, Lagos State, today organized a free medical outreach programme in which free health services were provided to residents.
The event, aimed at providing access to quality healthcare, also had the Segun Odunmbaku administration in conjunction with Lagos Health Management Agency distributing free health insurance forms to 1000 beneficiaries in the Local Council Area.
The medical outreach is an initiative to bridge the healthcare gap and ensure that everyone in Ojodu LCDA irrespective of financial or economic status has access to essential medical services such as general check-ups, blood pressure monitoring, diabetes screening, and basic treatments for common ailments.
Furthermore, the distribution of free health insurance forms to 1000 residents was an essential step by the Hon Segun Odunmbaku’s administration in promoting healthcare coverage for residents as health insurance provides financial protection and access to better medical resources as Ojodu LCDA aimed to enable residents to avail themselves of health insurance benefits, ensuring that they have access to quality healthcare services when needed.
Chairperson of Ojodu LCDA, Mrs. Abimbola Odunmbaku, said the administration has consistently prioritised the rejuvenation of primary health service delivery guided by the H.E.Y. S Agenda and that
both the medical outreach and the distribution of health insurance forms were significant steps in promoting the health and well-being of the residents in Ojodu LCDA.
At the event were the Vice Chairman, Hon Bunmi Oluyadi, SLG, Hon Olaide John Bello, Supervisors, Councillors, Management Team, Political and Community Leaders.
