As part of Nigeria’s 64th Independence Day celebrations, the Hon. Segun Odunmbaku’s administration organized an educational excursion to Shodex Zoological Gardens.

Themed “That Nigeria Shall Be Great Again”, the event rewarded 50 top-performing pupils from public primary schools across Ojodu LCDA, Lagos State.

The selected pupils embarked on an inspiring tour to broaden their knowledge of wildlife and environmental conservation while also promoting national pride.

Speaking at the event, Supervisor For Education, Hon Dayo Olarenwaju, highlighted the importance of educating the younger generation, stating, “Our nation’s future lies in the hands of our children, and initiatives like this nurture the next generation of leaders.”

Accompanied by teachers and council officials led by HOD of Education Department, Mr. Akeem Adekoya, the pupils enjoyed an enriching experience that celebrated the values of unity and patriotism.

This excursion is one of many initiatives of Hon. Odunmbaku’s administration aimed at fostering educational development in line with its H.E.Y.S Agenda.
